Max Jeans
In their third incarnation, the Max jean is back and better than ever. The fit is slightly more relaxed from last time, by about 1.5cm in the thigh, tapering down the leg. They're still pretty slim, but now you can get your leg over your bike without feeling the strain.
Other new features: nickel plated rivets on the front pockets for strength, a few stitch details I won't bother boring you about and a beautiful thick tan brown leather patch made on old hand operated leather pressing machines by a guy named Karl.
What remains the same is the 13 oz Japanese rigid indigo selvage denim, the kind of stuff that starts out all stiff and softens with age. Alternating black and nickel NTS button fly, chain-stitched hems and nice stripy pockets. They're also still made in Melbourne.
